"no, really I'm not hungry." Samantha said.
She looked at Caty in the eye when she said it.
"Really." she said again. She got up, and went out of the room.

Indy stood at the deck, wine bottle in her hand, leaning on the railing. Jack walked out to the helm, tking it, watching his sister. Faith came out behind him, wrapping her arms around him. Jack sighed.
"We shouldn't be going." Faith said.
"No... I have to." Jack said, tensing and straightening a bit. "I mean, Indy doesn't have to step foot of the ship, but I have some buiness to take care of."
"What business?"
"Business."
"Jack."
"Faith, I would apperciate if you trusted me."
"I don't want you doing something you'll regret."
"I won't."
Faith wanted to say something else, but she couldn't think of anything. She walked away, back into their cabin.
Indy took a swig from her bottle. But it wasn't working. She could remembered every second they were together, except the few that really mattered, when their whole exsistence was shot to hell. She tried to think of something else. She was seeing Aramis again for the first time in years.
"Bless me father, for I have sinned."
The cardinal stood by the girl's cell. He didn't even look at her, and he girl did't care. She was looking at the young man behind him. The dark-haired boy looked away, then to her again. He glanced to the cardinal, and she knew he felt the distance the cardinal put between himself and the prisoners. The higher air the man carried.
The girl knew the young man tried to ignore it. The girl continued, looking to him and pretending the cardinal wasn't even there. But she didn't tell the entire truth. The student knew this, and the girl was glad he could tell. The cardinal didn't care, or wasn't even listening.
When she was done, and they were leaving, the girl grabbed the hem of the young mans cloak. He stopped. The cardinal went on to the next prisoner.
"Please, come back. At midnight." She said. He was going to say something, but the cardinal called him and he hurried on.
But he did return. She confessed to him, although he was not authorized to do so and he told her so, but the girl didn't care. She spoke with him for a long time that night and offered to help her escape, or ask the cardinal for help to free her. She refused him. He gave her his address, where she could write him, if she should change her mind.
The next day she was in the cardinal chambers disscussing her freedom. The day after that she was on her way to England. None of this was her idea, but the student had arranged it for her.

Samantha was walking around the ship, when she saw Jack. She walked right up to him without really having anything prepared to say.
"Jack?" said Samantha wringing her hands
He turned to face her.
"Aye?" he said
"Well...um I wasn't sure if I said that I was sorry..about your nose." she said kind of reaching out to touch it, but pulling away.

Jack shrugged, "It's fine. Don't worry about it, alright. You've got enough things to worry about as it is." He paused, "If Indy really sets out about doing something it usually gets done. But maybe if you talked to her a little more, she's reconsider the chambermaid thing."

Samantha turned away and shook her head.
"She wont listen."
"How do you know that?" Samantha looked at Jack witha strange look on her face.
"She hates me that's why! She would probably rather see me in the ocean than on her ship!"

"And if that were true she would have dumped you long before now." Jack pointed to where his sister was. "She's overthere. Go talk to her. Whatever she's thinking of now can't be good. I'm sure she'd apperciate the distraction."

Samantha looked at Jack and then walked slowly to the room where Indy was.
The room was dimly lit and she could her the swishing of liquid in a bottle. Samantha hated to break the silence, but the more she held off, there was less of a chance that she was ever going to do it.
Sucking in a breath, she knocked on the door.
"Captain?" she asked sticking her head in.
"Aren't you supposed to be in the brig?"
Samantha clenched her fists, but then relaxed them quickly.
"Yes, but I was let out to have dinner. But that isn't why I came. I wanted to sat that i was sorry for everything that I had ever done to you, or anyone on the ship. But mostly you."

"I know you are." Indy said flatly.
"Could you possibly, then, ever forgive me?" Sam said, quietly.
There was a long pause. Nearly so long Samantha wasn't sure if Indy had even heard her. Before she could repeat the question, though. Indy spoke.
"Yes." The captian spoke, tiredly.

Samantha's eyes widened.
"Really?" Indy nodded.
"Just..leave before I change my mind."
"But-"
"Just go."
Samantha smiled and then raced out of the room and ran into Sean and kissed him and hugged him tightly.

Indy sighed. She had done the right thing and she knew it. But she was still mad at the girl. Only now she was envious of her as well. Sam had something she would never have. Forgiveness. Of course, Indy told herself, and was often told, she should forget about him. But it had been ten years and she still wasn't sure she ever could...

Sean nearly toppled over as Samantha hugged him.
"What happend?" he asked.
"SHE FORGAVE ME!" Samantha said as she kissed him again.
"Wow." Sean said and he tucked a piece of Samatha's loose hair behind her ear.

"Madame," A cheerful looking man came to the woman's table. He had dark hair, and a goatee. She noticed the bandana around his forehead and liked it. He sat down, giving her a concered look, but smiling all the same. "I noticed you were drinking alone. No beautiful woman should ever drink alone."
"If you looking for someone to keep your bed warm tonight, I'm not the woman you're looking for." She answered shortly, drinking straight from the ottle.
The man looked surprised. Then smiled again, chuckling a little. "Very well. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, may I inquire to what you are drinking to?"
"To forget."
"Forget what? Or, who?"
"A man."
"A man. Dear me. Who on earth could be so evil-- What devil could leave you to the four winds?"
"It was my fault. I--"
But the man stopped her, taking one of her hands. She looked at him, stunned with anger, but he paid this no attention.
"Darling girl, you must never think it was your fault. There are no creatures more prefect then women. After all, if it was not for them, men would never come to exsist. Men are vile, selfish things. But their are few who have overcome these--"
She stopped him before he could go one, wrenching her hand from his grasp. She stood and so did he, looking quite apoligectic.
"I didn't mean to offend you, milady. My action was rash, touching you, and I apoligize. I assumed you would take comfort in physical contact."
"You assumed wrong then, sir." Her hand fell on her sword.
The man looked to her hilt, then to her face again. He frowned, "And now I must take offense. Surely you mean me no harm."
"Are women so weak? Do they all melt under your flattery?"
"Usually." He smiled, "But I am far more taken by someone who can see through me... That is before she has the mind to cut a hole in my gut."
The woman sat down again, as did the man.
"So... Tell me of this man who has hurt you? Maybe I know him. Maybe I'll purpose a duel."
"You'll do no such thing. Besides that, he's dead. Gone off and left his estate and all that was with it behind."
"To you?"
She laughed. The man noticed the ring on her finger, "Well, he did leave something to you, didn't he?"
She looked down. "Yes, but that was before he..." She trailed off and began sobbing. The man walked around the table and sat beside her, held her in his arms. They talked for a long while after, he even invited her to stay at his home until she was ready to leave again. She did. And even warmed his bed a night or two.
Indy placed the ring back into the small bag, thinking of the man she had met in the tavern, the man who had listened to her so without even knowing her name. She had even managed to keep her secret from him. If only she could have kept that secret from her husband longer... or forever.

Laying on her bed, Samantha played what Indy said about her and her husband over and over in her head when she felt a hand on her arm.
"Samantha." said a voice. It was Sean's. "Come on, you have to be hungry." She rolled over and faced Sean.
"I have told you before and I will tell you again, I am not hungry right now Sean. I will eat tomarrow."
Sean smiled and kissed her gently.
"Alright, fine, I'll leave it to you to decide when you are hungry."

Indy changed into her nightgown and was just ready to go to bed when she heard a knock at her door. She opened it.
John immedeatly looked down, but could not keep himself from smiling. "Sorry, I didn't mean todistrub you Captian, but... Well, it's about Jim."
"Is he alright?" Indy asked, and grabbed her robe, putting it on. John then looked uat her.
"Well, yes, he's fine. He has a map. ...May I?"
"Oh, yes, come in." Indy opened the door wider for him and then closed it behind her. John sat in her desk chair, Indy sat on her bed. John rested his crutch on the wall on the small space between the desk and the bed.
"Jim aquired a map from his caretaker before the man died. Billy Bones. Perhaps you've--" John stopped as the crutch slipped to the floor. John smiled as Indy leaned over to retrive the crutch. As she came up, Jon grabbed her by the shoulders and kissed her. The crutch clattered to the ground and Indy pushed him away. She tried to pull away from him, but he held her arm.
"Please, Indy, I didn't mean to scare you, but you must listen to me."
"Give me one good reason why I should. Unhand me at once." Indy jerked away from him, but he held tight.
"I can't. I am in love with you. And if I can't get you to feel the same way, I..." He trailed off.
"You what?"
"I dont' know what'd I do, honestly." John let go. Indy quickly tied her robe and walked to the door. She opened it for him.
"Please leave."
John picked up his crutch and left. He stopped at the door, putting his crutch in the way of her shutting the door. "Indy--"
"Captian Sparrow." She corrected him and pushed his crutch out with her bare foot. She slammed the door and after hearing him walk away threw herself on her bed and wiped at her mouth. He stomach dropped as she suddenly realized what looked so farimallar about John. Long John Silver looked exactly like the cardinal who had given her freedom.
"For a price, of course." She had remembered him saying, grinning evilly. She knew Aramis had no idea how evil the cardinal was, or else he was have never had gone to him for help.
Indy shivered, and slid under the covers. She reached on her desk, turning out the oil lamp that was nailed to her desk.

Sean took Samantha's hand and kissed her fingers.
"Well, I am tired..I'll just be leaving.."
Samantha reached her arm out as Sean walked to teh door.
"Wait." she said as she sat up.
"What?"
"Please stay.."
"Why do you need me to stay?" Sean asked swinging the door back and forth.
"Because..I'm scared." Samantha said making something up.
Sean chuckled. "Scared? Scared of what?"
"Of..the....dark!" Samantha said looking to a light. "Please stay." She said putting a sad face on.

((Man I'm really going story mode today on this))
She ran her fingers through his blond hair, smiling. "I never thought I would be so happy."
He grinned back, taking her hand in his. She propped herself up better on her elbow, her hand trailing down his neck and shoulder. As he pulled her other hand closer to his lips, the bedsheet slipped off her naked arm and before she could reach for it, he saw it.
He dropped her hand and his lips parted in shock. "The fleur-de-lis." He breathed after a few seconds.
She moved away from him, covering herself with the blankets. But he grabbed her arm with lightening fast speed. Suddenly he was on top of her, pinning her down. Anger flared in his aqua eyes, making them increddibly dark and for the first time in the 2 years she had known him--loved him, she was terrified of him.
"Murder!" He yelled at her. She tried telling him that wasn't it, she tried telling him she was sorry, but nothing came out. "Liar!" He said as if he was reading her thoughts, what she was intending to say to him. He slapped her.
Indy shot up in bed, breathless. She put her head in her hands, wondering if she had screamed or not. Jack had said she sometimes talked in her sleep, so if she screamed, would she have even realized it. Her heart beat slowed down a bit. She hadn't had nightmares about him finding out in years. But why was this one different? Why didnt her dream depict the day as it really happened?

Indy looked up, her eyes ajusting to the light. She was expecting Jack or Faith, but not anyone else. Before, her crew wouldn't dare enter her cabin like this. But Indy didn't really care.
"Yes, yes, I'm fine." She sighed, wiping at her face. She had been crying as well, apparently. "You can.." She was going to say leave, but really didn't want her to. Indy cleared her throat. "Thank you."

Samantha woke up during the middle of the night and sat straight up. She looked around quickly climbed out of bed and rubbed her eyes. She was only wearing her under dress, but she didn't mind.Sean was still sleeping. She wondered what time it was.
Once on deck, she looked at the sky. The moon was full in the northwest. She sat down on the ground and looked up at the sky, and didn't bother to move a curl out of her face.
