Samantha sucked in a breath, though it wasn't loud. She was still incredibally attracted to Jack, but she wouldn't nag him.

John knocked on the door, limping in with a tray of food. He gave a displeasing look to Samantha, "I don't think anyone's allowed down here, lass. Go on with ya."
John shooed Sam out of the brig and opened the cell handing Jack his food. He closed it again. "Tis a shame they locked you up here, Jackie. I mean, you just had your sister's best interest at heart."
"I don't want to talk about it, Long John." Jack muttered through a piece of bread.
"I understand, sure. But handin' over the ship to that frog? I'm sure you've talked to her about that."
"Not that's she's been speaking to me very much... What are you gettin' at?" Jack looked suspicious.
"The frog'll take the treasure back to England. And he doesn't like this crew. He'll most likely leave the pirates behind and go off himself." John said matter-of-factly.
"You suggesting mutantiy?"
"I think I am, Jack. What do you say? I've already got my boys in for it, so all I have to do is give them the word."
"What about Indy?"
John paused, "I'll talk to her about it... What about you?"
Jack sighed, "Only if Indy agrees. But I doubt she will."
"Think about this Jack..." John said, seriously, then left the brig.

Samantha had heard Jack and John talking, but then heard steps, so she ran away from the door and bit as not to seem suspicious. "How long is he going to be down there for?" she asked John.

"Til Indy decides on letting him out. I'll ask her, but I don't think she even knows... Seemed pretty suddened to throw him down there. Especially after saving you." John shrugged and walked to Indy's quarters, knocking on the door. He heard laughter from the inside and frowned. Steve opened the door, the smile fading from his face. "Oh, Mr. Silver. Afternoon." "Mr. Whitmire." John gave a slight nod, then looked past him, "Might I have a word with ye, Captian?" Indy stood up and walked toward the door, "Yes, of course. Mr. Whitmire, could you excuse us?" "I'll be right outside if you need me, ma'am." Steve nodded and left the room, letting John in and closing the door. "Samantha wanted to know when you'd be letting your brother out." John said, his crutch clunking as he stepped in further. Indy sighed, "I dont see why she's so infatuated with him." "Well, I suppose we all want what we can't have..." John trailed off a little then looked away from Indy, "I was just talking to JAck... What do you thikn of Captian Smollett? Now that you've met him?" "What are you getting at, John?" "Just curious. No need to get offended." "The frog is a fine captian, Silver." "He is... NAvy-wise, of course. You gave him Young Jim's map, didn't you?" "How did you know about the map?" "Jim told me. Accidentaly, of course. He seemed a little upset about it, though..." "The treasure will be split amoung the men accordingly, John. You'll get your share if that's what your so worried about." Indy crossed her arms around her stomach. "Indy, you forget this crew is a bunch of villinous pirates... You used to be one yourself you know. Never one too afraid to cut out man's tounge for backtalking ole Indy Sparrow.... But I don't think you're so muched as slapped anyone on this entire voyage." John said, walking closer. "Do you really want to find out first hand?" John stopped. "Jack and I are planning on mutanity. It's no use saying 'No'. Half of this crew are me own men, Captian. They've got a taste for blood. But I can stop them from hurting say, Samantha, for instance..." "You wouldn't." Indy's eyes narrowed. "If you agree to mutanity against Smollett. I'll make sure no one's hurt. If you don't agree, we'll mutanity anyway and have frog legs for diner." John smiled evilly. "Steve's right out that door," Indy said. John smiled more seeing her a little more frightened. "Steve now, is it? Yes, I suppose he's more of a suitible man for a captian isn't he? A first mate rather than a cook." "John, I won't play this illy game with you." Indy remained firm. "But if you're going to hurt people because I won't join then... I'm in." "Good. Cuz, I'd hate for anything to happen to your little friends." John gave an evil smirk and left the room. Indy sat down, putting her head in her hands as Steve came back in. "Something wrong?" Indy looked up. He hadn't heard any of it... She cleared her throat and rubbed her hands together, noticing they were shaking, "No," She smiled, "Of course not." ((Found a better picture of Steve! I think it's adorable. Steve Whitmire and Dave Goelz (the man behind Gonzo) during the filming of Muppets from space))

Samantha sat on deck and sang softly to herself. She didn't quite know what she should be doing.

((Lol. Well, I'll skip to the night then morning, then...))
"Wicked fog out tonight, Mr. Whitmire..." John walked out of the galley, looking to Steve who was watching their course from the port side of the ship.
"Yes." was all Steve said, clearly not trusting of Long John Silver.
"Shame if... someone were to fall over and we couldn't see them..." John walked up to the helm.
"I have exceptional eye sight, Mr. Silver. And there's no one to fall over board tonight."
"Well, if someone should, I hope the life boats are safe to use."
"Of course they are."
"That's what the last captian thought that I voyaged with. Whole crew sunk to the bottom of the ocean cause of leaky lifeboats." John spoke whistfully.
Steve turned slightly, glancing to John, "You managed to survive."
"But me leg didn't." Then as almost an after thought, "Might want to duck, Mr. Whitmire"
Steve frowned and turned just in time to see the mast flying towards him before he blacked out.
John set the wheel back on course and fastened it back, limping over to steve's motionless body. Blood and blonde hair covered Steve's face. John took the keys to Smollet's safe from Steve's pocket and lifted the man, dumping him overboard.

Smollett awoke the next morning in time to just finish dressing and hear a knock on his door. He opened it to see Long John Silver standing at his doorway. Indy was standing a few feet away, looking quite distraught and red eyed with a worried looking Jim, Gonzo and Rizzo..
"What's going on?" Smollett questioned.
"I'm afraid I have some terrible news, Captian Smollett." John sighed and looked down, "There must have been an accident.. or maybe worse, but... Something happened to Mr. Whitmire last night. I had the boys up first thing in the morning to clean the deck. They found this. No sign of Mr. Whitmire." John held out his hand to Smollett, revealing a portion of bloodied blond hair tied in Steve's blue ribbon.
Smollett exhaled and let out a small noise, "Oh, no..."

Samantha stood on the bow of the ship. She looked out into the ocean and felt the wind blowing lightly through her hair. She heard a commotion, and went to go see what it was.

Smollett sighed, "Gather up the crew. We'll have a memorial service for MR. Whitmire after breakfast."
"Aye, sir." John spoke sadly, laying the remains of Steven Whitmire in the frog's hands before limping away. He told Rizzo, Gonzo and Jim to tell the others, then turned back to Smollett. "Will Jack be attending the service as well, Captian?"
"Yes, I don't see why he shouldn't." Smollett said noncommittaly, "Perhaps you should make sure he did not escape last night. And that Mr. Whitmire's... disapperence was an accident and not a murder." He spoke with more authoritative tones now. John nodded and went on.
Smollett turned walking into his cabin and Indy stopped John, tears in her eyes, "It was you, wasn't it?"
"How could you say such a thing?"
"Because it's true, isn't it?"
John frowned at Indy, appaulded by her accusations. "Just be rememberin' who yer friends are, Capt. Sparrow. It is lunacy that you would even think I'd hurt a fellow crew member. Why would I breech a promise like that?" John didn't intend for her to answer him and went back into the kitchen.

Samantha saw everyone talking, and saw Indy crying. She ran over to Indy and held her arms. "What's happend?" she asked her.

Indy regained her composer, sucking in a deep breath and wiping her eyes. For some reason she felt she shouldn't cry in front of Sam, especially when she was about to deliever the news of Steve's departurre.
"Mr. Whitmire's dead. We'll be having a service after breakfast."

Indy sighed, shaking her head, "No one knows... The boys found a spot of blood on the mast and the floor, his hair ribbon and a chunk of his hair. He musthave hit it ...Ducking when it swung around, this hook," Indy walked to it, pointing to a small hook near a dark spot, "must have ripped the hair from his head..."
She sighed again, "Either someone hit him with it and tossed him over, or the rope on the helm slipped, a current or wind forcing the mast to swing, hitting him. He would have then goten up, fixed the helm and perhaps rested on the railing therefore falling over, as you had before Samantha... Either way, we would never have hear it."

Samantha's hands were still over her mouth as she held back tears. "But if someone had killed him, they must have had a reason to..."

"A reason to?" Indy looked to Samantha, her eyes narrowed, "The only reason they would have had was if they were simply murders. Steve never did any harm to anyone here."
"I didnt mean--" Samantha began but was cut off by John announcing that breakfast was ready.
"I'm not very hungry Samantha." Indy said and walked to Smollett's cabin, knocking on the door.
"Come in." She heard Smollett say a little brokenly.
Indy opened the door seeing the frog sitting at his desk, looking out the window.
"Captain Smollett, if you would rather be alone..."
"No, it's prefectly alright, come in."
Indy walked in further, shutting the door behind her.
"Steve was a wonderful man."
Smollett nodded, "He was. As good as gold and better."
Indy smiled, but sadly. Then told him of the ways Steve may have fallen, or been thrown off the boat, as she had told Samantha.
"I have considered foul play, Captain Sparrow. And Long John assures me that your brother has been locked secruely away in his cell all that night..."
"I wasn't suggesting Jack, sir."
"Then who? And given the fact that Jack has already murdered someone you were very close to--"
"I know. And I'm not going to justify what Jack did in Paris, but he was angry at Athos for things he had done in the past. He had no reason to kill Steven."
"Jealousy isn't enough?"
"He wasn't jealous of Athos."
Smollett sighed, shaking his head, but considered Indy's reply and let the subject of her brother be dropped.
"I was suggesting that Mr. Silver may have done something..."
"The cook?"
"He's a pirate as well."
"As well?"
"As well as Jack... and possibly some of this crew."
"Captian Sparrow.. You allowed pirates on your ship? I can understand your brother, but--"
"I'm a pirate, Captian Smollett."
Smollett looked horrified. "Y-you..."
"Yes."
Smollett gulped.
"Long John is planning mutantiy, but I don't know when. He said that I had to join him or you and the other crew memebers who weren't with him would be harmed."
Smollett frowned, "A likely story."
"I'm telling the truth! Why would I give myself up if I didn't care about the others on this ship? john's already done away with Steve, possibly to prove what he can do. We're out numbered captian. More then half of this crew is his."

Samantha walked away from where she was standing and stood at the top of the stairs to where Jack was. She thought about going down, but didn't. Instead, she broke down crying and sat at the top on a stair.

Gonzo sighed walking out of the galley with Rizzo. "This is weird."
"About Mr. Whitmire being dead? Yeah. I think we really bonded with in the past few days. I dont think I'll be the same with out him." Rizo sighed, shaking his head.
"Well, yeah... And my pants are filled with starfsh."
Rizzo gave Gonzo a strange look, and shook his head again.
"Hey, there's Samantha." Gonzo pointed.
"Boy she looks upset." Rizo saidas they walked to her. They wer both small enough to sit beside her side by side on the steps.
"Samantha, things will be okay." Gonzo put a small blue hand on her arm comfortingly.
"Yeah, he's in a better place now... You just gotta think of it that way." Rizzo suggested.

"Nice?" Rizzo exclaimed, then Gonzo shushed him before added, "Samantha is doesn't matter about being nice to whoever killed Mr. whitmire. If you know something you have to tell Captian Smollett!"
+++
"What do you mean?!" Indy was nearly outraged at Smollett's serene comment.
"If we question people on this ship, the real killer, whoever it may be, Long John or someone else, will know we suspect it's murder. We can't let them know. We'll sail to the islan and let them off their before heading to England." Smollett said.
