Samantha stood up and walked away from Rizzo and Gonzo. She walked to her room and lay on her bed. She was too tired and shocked to do anything.

That night, Indy and Smollett didn't show up to dinner, but afterward appeared on the deck, talking quietly.
"Full moon tonight." Smollett observed.
"Yes, it's quite beautiful..." Indy nodded.
"Steven always loved full moons. Especially when they were so bright you could read by them." Smollett smiled sadly.
"You cared very much for him. I know he knows that."
"So do you."
"But i dont know if he knows that... I wish he had."
"I think he did."
There was a pause before Indy decided to change the subject, "Tell me, captian, how is it that you became a seafairing frog? I haven't seen many frog captains."
"True, most amphibious creatures that grow up in ponds and lakes don't typically enjoy sea life, the saltly air and water, but i moved here when I was particuarly young, so I've grown used to it. And I suppose you just cant beat the freedom a ship gives you."
"That's what Jack says. More or less."
Smollett glanced to her, "I suppose his version has something to do with free merchindise as well?"
"No... Just freedom." Indy said. Then, "But I suppose that's what he treasures most. Nearly every time we make bearth he's found himself at the end of a rope."

Samantha stood in front of the door that lead to Jack. She deliberated with herself whether or not to go in, but she wondered what she'd say if she went in. He was probablly asleep, she told herself. And he was most likely sick of her.

"Captian Sparrow?" Smollett looked to the woman as she looked to the moon.
"Yes, Captian?"
"Steven told me that you sing."
She nodded.
"Well, I was wondering, if i couldn't sing a song I learned as a young frog. To the crew... In honor of Mr. Whitmire. It was one of his favorites."
Indy turned to him and smiled, "That sounds like a lovely idea."
Soon she had gathered the crew that wasn't already sleeping and even managed to find that Gonzo could play a wide varity of musical instruments, the flute being needed for this particular song. Bagpipes usually accompied as well, but unfortunatly Gonzo had left those at home.
The nightingale sings such a beautiful tune You can listen all night by the light of the moon Now my song’s not as pretty, but I’ll say it again I am proud to be one of the frogs in the glen
The butterfly is such a colorful thing With an orange and yellow and black on its wing Now I’m only green, but I’ll say it again I am proud to be one of the frogs in the glen
The deer can jump higher The fish can swim faster Than ever a froggie swam But a deer can’t dive deep And a fish can’t ribbet So I’m proud to be what I am
Be proud of your flippers And the flies that you catch And the logs that you leap And the eggs that you hatch We’re under the stars And we’re smaller than men But I’m proud to be one of the frogs in the glen
((From Sesame Street, off the same CD the last song I used was on.))

Sam heard the captain singing in the distance, and began to sing soft a song she she knew as well. She tried to keep it under control enough to not let anyone else hear it.

Indy smiled, "I can see why that was one of Steve's favorites. It's very nice."
"Thank you," Smollett smiled. "I only wish Steve were still with us to hear it."
"Aye..."

Samantha walked slowly around the ship and craweled up to the crows nest.

(I think we may get cabin fever soon.. nothing's really happening now is it?)
"How long until we reach the island?" Indy asked.
"About another week and a half, I believe." Smollett answered.

Samantha sat in the crows nest. It was quite cold up there, but it was all right. She shivered and huddled close to one side of the wall.

Jim smiled at the frog captain song, then looked up at the night sky. A figure in the crow's nest caught his eyes and he noticed it was Samantha. A cold Samantha. He went to his bunk and then crawled up to the nest, holding the blanket out to her,, "You'll get sick..."

Samantha took the blanket from Jim and wrapped it around her. "Thank you." she said. She looked at Jim for a few seconds. "Were you coming up here to work, or just to give me a blanket? I could leave if you needed me to.."

"No, don't leave. I was hoping I could stay up here with you." Jim said and smiled. He hadn't really talked much to Sam since he had helped disguse her and that was almost a month ago. John kept him busy with work.

Samantha looked at Jim for a few seconds and nodded. She smiled at him and remembered how he'd helped disguise her so she couldn't get in trouble. "Yea, you can stay up here." she said. She watched him climb into the crows nest. "I haven't seen you around much."

Jim shrugged, "Well, work, you know... But it's not so bad. I think the sea is wonderful. I can't wait to get on that island... I kind of thought sailing would be a little more adventurous than it's turned out to be..." Jim spoke sadly.

Samantha nodded. "I see what you mean." she said. "Sailing is adventurous, but sometimes...you just want to walk on land."

Jim shrugged, "I suppose." He appeared to be figiting in his seat, "Bu I thought we would have at least run across some pirates by now or something..."

Samantha nodded. "Me too." she said. "How did you get on this ship anyway?" she asked him. "I came on, hiding from my father's choice for me, but what about you?"

"Oh I just vollunteered with Rizzo and Gonzo. We were tavern boys at a pub where the Captian had docked. She was looking for crew members. And the owner of the pub just died the night after we vollenteered, and the place was ransaked. So we didn't see much of a reason to really saty." Jim shrugged, not knowing if she should know about the map. Better off not, he guessed.

Sam leaned back against the wood and looked at Jim. "Oh." she said. "I'm sorry to hear about the owner." Sam looked down at her toes and wiggled them. "Why'd you help me?" She asked Jim.

"Help you get on the ship, you mean?" Jim looked to her, then away, shrugging, feeling a bit uncomfortable, a bit self-concious and nervous, "I don't know.. Because I like you."
