((alright then..let me try this again))
Samantha looked at Caty and Landon and smiled. She was very envious of Caty.
When she looked up, she saw a very handsome sailor staring at her, but as soon as she looked, he looked away and continued to work.

((Okay it's been too long and I have ideas.)) ((Well, an idea for my character.))
The next morning Indy woke up to Jack singing loudly about really bad eggs and drinking. She dressed and walked out seeing her brother hapily steering the ship.
"What in blazes is wrong with you, Jack Sparrow?!"
"What? Oh, did I wake you?" He looked innocent to her scolding look.
"You could of waked the bleedin' dead!" Indy calmed down then. "so where are we going?"
Faith walked out of the cabin yawning.
"Paris, France!" Jack exclaimed excitedly. Faith's eye swidened, Indy glared again. Long John walked closer to the galley's door to listen. Gonzo, Rizzo and Jim were all washing dishes.
"Jack Sparrow, how dare you even kid about something like that!" Indy yelled.
"I wasn't kidding. Don't you like--" A whap from Faith cut him of. "Ow!"
"You inconsiderated dog!" Indy went on, "I wish you had taken your ship and gone off instead of coming with me!"
"Indy you know it needed to be repaired. And it's spring. It's not the right season for a ship crewed by the damned. Formerly crewed, I mean." Jack shrugged, Indy's anger pasing over his head.
"JAck Sparrow! You apoligize to you sister this instant!" Faith demanded. Indy turned 'round, so they couldn't see tears coming to her eyes.
"What? Okay, okay," He caught Faith's glare, "I'm sorry Indy."
Indy left quickly to the girl's bunk.
"What am I sorry for?" Jack asked.
"You know perfectly well why! Her first love, you fool! He banished her from his proprety and left her to die. But she still loves him. That damned Count."
"She was in love with a Count?" Jack was astonished then suddenly remembered. "Oh! Him! Oh, damn!" He smacked his forehead and sagged agianst the wheel. He straightened up. "Then we'll still be going to Paris. I have a score to settle with him. No one breaks my little sister's heart and gets away with it!"

Sam stood outside of the her room and looked at the door, and then went upstairs. He stomach growled loudly.
"Hungry?" she heard a voice say. She turned around. It was the sailor she saw before. He smiled at her.
"Hi." he said sticking his hand out.
Sam took his hand and smiled.
"I'm Samantha."
The boy smiled.
((Will's not taken right..lol i know..very far away from all of my other characters..))

((Will? Who's Will? No Will on this ship, not that I'm aware of.))
John sighed, muttering "Still in love with him?"
"Still in love with who?" Gonzo looked up from drying a dish to John.
John shook his head, "Apartently the captin is still in love with someone in Paris. Jack plans on kiling him, I suspect."
"Does dis walkin' corpse have a name?" Rizzo looked up fom the apple he was eating. ((What's that linefrom? I've completely forgot!))
"I haven't heard one yet. But it's not our place to gossip about the captian, boys. She seemed very upset about it." John went back to cooking breakfast.

((oh grr..mst have a brain laps..cos i swear..oh never mind hehe))
The boy released her hand. "My name is Sean." he said. "It's nice to meet you Samantha."
Samantha nodded. "It's very nice to meet you." she said.
Digging his hand into his pocket, he pulled out a little heart.
"Is this yours? I think it goes on your necklace."
Samantha put a hand on her neck and felt the chain.
"Oh yes it is! Thank you very much!" she said

"Oh, oh, now, Captian Indy, don't cry. You'll ruin your make-up!" Piggy rushed to the captian who collasped in one of the chairs in the girl's bunk room. Miss Piggy blotted tears from the captian's face.
Indy sniffed, taking the hankie. "Thank you, Miss Piggy, I... I..."
"Cap'n, don't you worry, I'll be right back with something to drink for ya." Cat patted Indy's hand and rushed out to go to the Kitchen. She nearly ran into Fozzie Bear.
"Oh!" HE exclaimed, steading the Irish lass. "Excuse me, Cat. I did not mean to scare you."
"It's quite alright. I need to be gettin' somethin' for the Cap'n."
"Is she alright?"
"She's sobbing her dear eyes out, but I think she should be fine in a while."
"Oh, well, letme know if you need anything. Fozie Bear at your service, ma'am." He bowed.
Cat smiled, "Thank you." then made her way to the kitchen.
John looked to the door as Cat entered. "Could I get a glass of water or something for the captian."
"Why certainly." John looked to the boys and waved his hand, they scurried to get the water. Jim brought it to him. John handed the mug to Cat. "I heard the commotion outside here. Jack upset her badly, didn't he?"
"I guess so." Cat said and nodded, thanking him. She returned to the bunk room. Indy had stopped crying. The Captian took the offered water and drank some of it.

Samantha smiled at Sean.
"i'm sorry. It was very lovely to meet you, but I have to go."
she said as she went in search of the Capitan to see if there was anything she could do to pay her keep on the ship.

Samnatha came into the room as Indy wiped tears from her eyes with Piggy's hankie.
Sam gasped, "Captian, what's wrong?"
"Nothing." She said suddenly angry and sniffed, standing up.
"No, Captian, as the women of this crew we must stick together! Now, you're obviously very upset and things will work out, you'll see." Piggy argued.
"You may feel better if you talk to us about it." Cat said, but Indy was already walking out of the door and disappeared into the storage area (what's that called, I forget...) slamming the door.

Sam frowned and followed Indy up until she slammed the door. She knocked on it.
"Captain?" she asked quietly. "Captain would you please let me in?" she asked

"I would rather be alone. I take my drinking very seriously." Indy said, taking a bottle of wine out and popping the cork. She sat on a crate and took a swig, a rather large one of the wine.

Samantha took a pin out of her hair and opened the door.
"Captain..please..I just want to help you." she looked at the wine. "And I too take my drinking seriously. No one ever said that a Govoner's daughter couldn't love to drink aye?" she asked

Indy looked at Samnatha, considering her for amoment and then picked up a bottle beside her. She handed it to Samantha then took a swig of her own. She hopped off the crate and sat on the floor, leaning against it, sitting indian style.

Samantha looked at the bottle and then at Indy. She must have looked like she didn't know what to do, beacuse Indy looked at her funny.
"Sit." she said.
Samantha did as she was told, almost immiediatly as she was told to do it.
She opened the bottle very carefully and took a tiny sip of it.
"So..can you tell me what's wrong Camptain?" Samantha asked brushing hair out of her face.

Indy sighed, taking another swig. She ignored the girl's question, looking at the bottle. "What should we drink to?"

Samantha frowned. She didn't like it when people ignored her.
"I don't know." she said, her english accent getting very distinguished. It always did that when she was upset.
Then, Sean walked by, and smiled and winked at her. Her heart flip flopped, and it must have really affected her this time, because she dropped the bottle, spilling the golden liquid.

Indy glanced to the door, seeing Sean leave and calmly set Sam's bottle upright. She rose a little from her seat to push the door closed.
"Let me tell you a story about love, Sam." Indy said and took a rather large gulp from her bottle. "I knew a young girl once who feared she would never fall in love. She was only 17 years old, but poor. Her brother tried to support her, by giving up what he loved most to work on a Count's land. The Count and the brother were roughly the same age and hardly spoke at all untill the Count met his sister. The girl would only speak of the Count from the moment she saw him. She love everything about him, her spirits rose just thinking of him or the slightest mention of his name. And when she was actually with him... She felt her heart would burst if they couldn't be together."

((btw.. that is sean..)) Samantha looked at Indy with a very calm look on her face now. "That sounds so romantic." she said. Samantha looked at the ground where she had spilled the drink, and found a rag and started to wipe it up. She couldn't believe she had just dropped a bottle, just because he had winked at her. He must think her a fool now.

((Ooh! The Aussie. Good choice indeed. Hehe. I believe he's the same Sean in "Secrets" thread right?))
Indy snoted a little, "Romantic? Well, at first, yes. Very much so."
"What happened?"
"The poor girl married him."
"Isn't that what people do when they fall in love?" Samantha asked while Indy look another long swig.
"Shut up and listen to me." Indy said calmly, without a single hint of sharpness to her voice. Her entire being had seemed to go dull as she finished the story. "They were riding through the forest one day. She was thrown from her horse and knocked unconious. When he rushed her side, he noticed a mark on her body--something he'd never seen before, something she'd managed to keep hidden all this time. A tattoo. The brand of the fleur-de-lis. The mark given to theives and prisoners so that everyone should know of their crimes. The Count was crushed. The woman he loved, his bride, had betrayed him. She'd lied to him. When she came to, she swore that she had been falsely accused; but he didn't believe her. He shouldn't have either because she was lying then too, afraid that she would loose him. He rejected her for her lies and for her past. Then he banished her from his province. Her brother was out of work then as well and left with her. And as the brother almost literally dragged the girl away, she was still professing her undying love."
Indy looked down and took another swig of her wine. "She tired to forget the Count. She traveled with her brother to many lands and met many people, and even though she remarried... several times, they all ended because her heart truely belong to the Count. Even if he did hate her now."
Indy sighed, looking back to Sam. "She returned to Paris a few years later, to find him again, if nothing to apoligize. She was captured and imprisoned and there learned he had given up his title, his land and everything he owned, never to be seen or heard from since. Many thought him to be dead, others said he left to find his bride. The girl never revealed that it was she they were speaking of, fearing they would continue with their story and that the Count was looking to kill her for ruining his life. The girl escaped, barely... The last I heard of her she was sailing the seas." Indy gave a very small sad smile and then finished off her bottle. She got up for another.

Samantha looked at Indy and then at the door, where Sean was before.
"That's so sad." she said. "That man wasn't being fair. She loved him, and was willing to give anything for him."
"Nothing's fair." Indy said taking a swig of her drink again.
Sean passed by again, but Samantha didn't see him, luckily.
Samantha took a tiny tiny sip of the bottle and set it down.
"Well, Captain, the reason I came here, is to know if there was anything I could do to earn my keep on the ship..you know..since I had been such a-.."Samantha was at loss for a word.
"Twit?" Indy offered.
Samantha nodded. "Yes..twit.."
